What is the MIT Technology Review really about?

Where and when can I attend?

This will be a two day event, held on the 12th and 13th November 2014. The setting will be the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, which is incidentally part of the Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) in Valencia, Spain.

Conference structure and layout

The day will be split into allotted time slots for each specific field, after the initial registration period and the inauguration ceremony, of course. The topics examined in each specific session will range from investment and the internationalization of startups based on the customer, to portable technology and even to intelligent materials, including a 3D impression and interactive surfaces.

Venture point

One final component of the event worth noting is the Venture Point. This section of the conference is organized in partnership with Business Innovation and constitutes a private space where exceptional Spanish entrepreneurs can have a chance to present their projects to venture capitalist investors. Only a limited number of projects will be able to be presented, and must be approved by a series of judges before being passed on to the national and international investors at the event.

Relevant Venture Point dates

  • The deadline for signing up is the 28th October.
  • Those fortunate enough to have their projects approved for presentation will know on the 4th November.
  • The venture point will take place on the 13th November once the conference has ended.

So, all in all, if you’re someone who is interested and truly believes in technology and innovation, you simply cannot miss out on this conference if you have the opportunity to attend. The event’s motto really sums it all up better than any article: “No importa cuál sea el problema, la tecnología es parte de la solución”. (It doesn’t matter what the problems is, techonology is part of the solution).
